Als kybernetische Triade bezeichne ich - die oft missverstandene - Vorstellung von N. Wiener, wonach Information weder Materie noch Energie ist:
Die Kybernetik lehrt Kommunikationsprozesse „in the animal and the machine“ als Informationsprozesse zu verstehen und sie verkündet siegessicher eine triadische Metaphysik: „Information is information, not matter or energy. No materialism which does not admit this can survive at the present day.“ (Wiener, Norbert (1961, 132): Cybernetics or control and communication in the animal and the machine. New York/London.
Auch der Informatik-Duden zählt Information als Dirttes zur Unterscheidung Materie/Energie.
